I have such a passion for the connection between a mum and her baby, for the instincts that arise when a woman is born as a mum.

My aim with this project is not only to document what maternity looks like but to make it visible, raw as it is and put it where we all can see it. It still kills me that something so beautiful and powerful, where all our lives begin, is hidden and feels like a tabu.

This is a project to honor women. It’s called “Beginnings.”

It is a dream of mine to travel the world and document how life begins in different parts of the world, including other species, hoping to find enough inspiration to bring us back to what we are.
